Designer Christine Phung’s vision took center stage as models strutted down the runway in exotic jumpsuits, matelassé wrap coats, and beach ponchos, radiating a cool, laid-back vibe akin to a true surfer ready for the waves near Biarritz.
Drawing from the archives of the house, Phung reimagined classic Hawaiian shirt prints with a modern digital twist, adding a touch of nostalgia to the innovative designs that graced the catwalk. However, after a successful stint of eight seasons as creative director, Phung announced her departure to take on a new role as a fashion consultant for an undisclosed international brand.
Leonard’s latest collection was presented in a cleverly crafted video titled Silky Wave, where a weathered pier transformed into a unique runway. Hand-painted designs adorned beach shorts, shirts, swimsuits, and bra tops, while luxurious silk dresses captivated audiences during sunset cocktail gatherings at the esteemed Hotel du Palais. Professional surfer Nina Reynal stole the show, effortlessly riding the waves in a swimsuit paired with a soft silk plissé dress, embodying the Leonard woman as a harmonious blend of elegance and adventure.
