Landsec, the commercial property giant, is experiencing a shift in its growth strategy, leading to the departure of Chief Operating Officer Colette O’Shea. O’Shea will step down as a company director on September 30 but will continue as COO until March 31, 2023, allowing for a smooth transition.
Colette O’Shea has played a vital role in supporting CEO Mark Allan in the development and execution of Landsec’s growth strategy since 2020. She has been instrumental in establishing new structures and ways of working within the company. However, as Landsec’s strategy enters its next phase, the company has decided to prioritize operational autonomy within its business units, diminishing the need for a COO.
O’Shea has had a long and successful tenure at Landsec, joining the company in 2003 and becoming Managing Director of its London portfolio in 2014. She joined the board in 2018 and assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2020. Throughout her time at Landsec, O’Shea has overseen numerous projects and has had a significant impact on reshaping both the business and the city of London.
