Lakeside Mall Enhances Luxury Offerings with New Brands

Lakeside Mall, a popular retail and leisure destination, is taking steps to enhance its luxury offerings by introducing new brands. Renowned fashion retailer Boss, along with watch and jewellery stores TAG Heuer and Goldsmiths, have announced significant expansions within the mall. LakesideOwner property group SGS and mall manager Global Mutual are driving these initiatives in an effort to elevate the high-end appeal of the mall.

Boss has recently signed on to open a larger store at the center, following the expansions of TAG Heuer and Goldsmiths. The addition of Boss brings the total space let to permanent occupiers in the last year to 170,000 sq ft. The brand will secure a prime location within the center, occupying a 4,218 sq ft unit. Currently, the store is temporarily trading from a former Disney unit on the lower mall, neighboring the newly renovated River Island and H Beauty. The expanded and revamped store is expected to reopen in its original location in the summer.

TAG Heuer has also expanded its showroom, showcasing a contemporary interior design that reflects its heritage in the motoring industry. The showroom features tones of grey and sleek, mirrored units. On the other hand, Goldsmiths has expanded into a 3,714 sq ft space to establish Goldsmiths Boutique, offering a relaxed and experiential in-store environment.

These expansions build upon other recent additions to Lakeside, including regional flagship stores for Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, and H&M Home. Additionally, M&S has relocated within the mall. Rob Detheridge, Asset Manager at Global Mutual, expressed his satisfaction with the expansions, highlighting the strong relationship between the brands and the mall. He also emphasized the impressive performance of existing stores and the enticing overall offer of the center. Retailers continue to target prime spaces like Lakeside due to the assurance of a healthy footfall resulting from its advantageous location and diverse tenant mix.

The expansions by renowned brands at Lakeside will further enrich the mall’s offerings, and it is anticipated that visitors will enthusiastically welcome this news. Spanning over 1.6 million sq ft, Lakeside attracts millions of shoppers each year and hosts over 250 brands. With its luxury focus and ongoing expansion efforts, Lakeside solidifies its position as a premier retail destination for customers seeking an upscale experience.
