Luxury jewellery retailer Laings has recently expanded its presence at the St David’s mall in Cardiff by opening its first dedicated Omega showroom. The showroom, occupying an 838 sq ft space, is the first monobrand showroom operated by Laings and the first dedicated store for Omega in Wales. Located on Hayes Arcade, an emerging luxury watch and jewellery quarter, the showroom showcases Omega’s popular collections, including Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster, and De Ville.
The design of the showroom is unique and reflects the essence of the Omega brand. With red carpets, low-hanging lighting, and signature gold accents, the showroom mirrors the design of Omega timepieces. To enhance the experience, the showroom will also incorporate Omega’s bespoke fragrance, which will be introduced through the air-conditioning system. Landsec, the company operating the mall, believes that the addition of the Laings Omega showroom further enhances the roster of luxury brands at St David’s, which performed exceptionally well in 2021.
Laings already has a strong presence at St David’s, with its eponymous boutique opening last year after a significant investment and expansion. The boutique offers renowned brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Fabergé. In addition to the Laings Omega showroom, a standalone Breitling boutique has also recently opened at Hayes Arcade. Pablo Sueiras, Landsec’s Head of Retail Channels, expressed excitement about Omega joining the lineup of prestigious brands and emphasized the demand for jewellery and watches among their guests.
