L’Âge Dior: Exploring the Creative Legacy of Dior

Luxury Maison has recently unveiled new content that celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact on the brand’s creative legacy. The first installment of their new podcast series, titled L’Âge Dior, takes a deep dive into the origins of the creative succession within one of the most esteemed French couture houses. Following the passing of Christian Dior in October 1957, his assistant of two years, Yves Saint Laurent, took over the reins of the collections.

Imagined and narrated by renowned fashion journalist Jérôme Gautier, L’Âge Dior is composed of six episodes, each lasting approximately ten minutes. These episodes are available in both French and English, catering to a wider audience. Each installment sheds light on an iconic figure who has left an indelible mark on the brand, such as Marc Bohan, whose recent demise on September 6th grieved the fashion world. Bohan was the visionary behind the influential Miss Dior line. The podcast also delves into the contributions of other notable figures including Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri. Notably, Chiuri is the current head of Dior’s Women’s Collections and the first woman to hold this position, assuming the role in the summer of 2016.

This captivating audio series is enriched with audiovisual archives, providing a more immersive experience for listeners. It adds another layer of depth to the Maison’s brand audio content, further solidifying their commitment to the podcast format. Dior initially introduced their Dior Talks conversations in early 2020 and has since expanded the narrative concept. With Dior Tales catering to young audiences, an engaging alphabet series, and episodes dedicated to their exquisite jewelry collections and the iconic Lady Dior handbag, the brand continues to captivate and engage its audience through a wide range of topics.
