Kith’s Paris Store Opening

Kith, the renowned American streetwear brand, has recently made its mark in Europe by opening its first store in Paris. Situated at 49 Rue Pierre Charron, just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Champs-Elysées, the store spans an impressive 16,000 square feet across three floors of the luxurious Pershing Hall hotel. The space exudes opulence, featuring elements such as gilding, intricate ironwork, a Carrara marble staircase, and a striking glass chandelier. With its grand opening on February 26, Kith establishes Paris as a prominent destination in the streetwear world.

Although Paris has already been a hub for streetwear, with established brands like Supreme, A Bathing Ape, and Sneakersnstuff, Kith’s choice of location sets it apart from the rest. By opting for the upscale eighth arrondissement instead of popular neighborhoods like Les Halles or Le Marais, the brand demonstrates its commitment to catering to a more high-end clientele.

To create an inviting atmosphere, Kith collaborated with design firm Snarkitecture. Despite the ongoing health restrictions, the store even offers the menu from New York restaurant Sadelle’s in a dining area located in the store’s glass-covered courtyard. Visitors can also enjoy Kith Treats, the brand’s cereal and ice-cream bar, which adds a sleek touch to the overall space.

As shoppers ascend the store’s staircase, they will find an extensive selection of apparel, including t-shirts, paisley-print hoodies from the brand’s latest collection, denim jackets, cargo pants, bucket hats, caps, and the most sought-after footwear. The presentation of these items perfectly matches the luxurious environment of the store.

The lower level of the store is dedicated to guest labels, showcasing Kith’s collaborations with various brands. Currently, the store features an exclusive collaboration with Nike, presenting an Air Force 1 sneaker inspired by the colors of the French flag. The shoe has generated buzz through a well-executed social media campaign, which involved influencers showcasing the sneaker and a promotional film featuring notable figures from the Parisian fashion scene.

Kith is part of a new wave of premium streetwear brands that includes Supreme, Noah, and A Bathing Ape. Founded by Ronnie Fieg in 2011, a passionate streetwear enthusiast and occasional designer for major sneaker brands, Kith has experienced remarkable growth in recent years. The brand has collaborated with notable sportswear companies such as Adidas and Nike, as well as fashion and luxury brands like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, and Moncler. Prior to the opening of its Parisian store, Kith already had locations in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.

While Kith has a presence in Selfridges, the opening of its flagship store in Paris is a significant milestone for the brand in Europe. With its luxurious setting and strategic location, Kith aims to cater to the discerning fashion tastes of Parisian clientele while further solidifying its position as a leader in the global streetwear scene.
