Kidsuper’s Latest Show and Collection Takes the Fashion World by Storm

Kidsuper’s latest show and collection have taken the fashion world by storm. The standout moment of the show was when Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho made a surprise appearance on the runway, causing the crowd to erupt with applause. Ronaldinho, famous for his role in Brazil’s 2002 World Cup triumph, exuded happiness as he strutted down the catwalk in a giant faux-fur coat.

Colm Dillane, the founder and designer of Kidsuper, joined Ronaldinho for the final bow, revealing the last-minute chaos that ensued to get Ronaldinho ready for the show. In a menswear season dominated by indie designers like Egonlab and Sean Suen, Kidsuper’s collection stood out as the most passionate and vibrant.

The allure of Kidsuper lies in its dynamic street couture panache, exemplified by pieces like the ecru sheepskin coat adorned with cut-outs of New York brownstones and anatomical sketches. The collection also featured outlandish zoot suits with composite sketches of saints and sinners.

The show kicked off with a classical ballet dancer gracefully pirouetting in Kidsuper’s ragged-edged and ruffled tunic, followed by a widow draped in acres of black tulle. Dillane gained recognition after serving as a temporary creative director for Louis Vuitton, successfully infusing his ideas and techniques from that experience into his own brand.

One of the highlights of the collection was the fabulous multi-collage handbags and man bags. Another memorable moment was a model in a white corduroy suit, with his black knit sweater tied to the backstage gradually unraveled as he marched down the runway. Dillane faced numerous challenges in executing this particular segment, but his perseverance paid off, leaving the audience in awe.

Dillane’s Irish background, with his father immigrating from a small town in Ireland, adds another layer of depth to his work. While the styling of the collection may have had a somewhat formulaic feel and traditional tailoring, there’s no denying its impact. This show solidified Dillane and Kidsuper as a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry.

Michael Burke, the CEO of Louis Vuitton, was the first to congratulate Dillane, showing his support for the designer’s promising future. As Burke prepares to take over LVMH’s Fashion Group, his endorsement speaks volumes about Dillane’s talent and potential.

Dillane, who was raised in Brooklyn, is not only known for his designs but also for the collage paintings he creates for each show, some even bearing his own signature. Backstage, fans and followers raised glasses of champagne, joyously chanting his name in celebration. Dillane’s outgoing personality and undeniable talent set him apart from his contemporaries.

In contrast, the legendary Japanese creator Rei Kawakubo chose not to engage with editors and critics after her show, remaining aloof. Dillane, on the other hand, took the opportunity to address the audience once again, sharing the behind-the-scenes challenges of getting Ronaldinho ready in just two hours. This revelation was met with an explosion of cheering from his crew, who chanted “Ole! Ole! Ole!” in unison.

Kidsuper’s cool composite collage collection has firmly established itself as a must-watch in the fashion world. Dillane’s distinctive style and unwavering determination continue to captivate audiences and cement his place as a rising star in the industry.
