JOOR Launches Showcase Japan in Collaboration with JETRO

JOOR, the digital wholesale platform, has recently launched the second edition of Showcase Japan in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). This virtual fashion event, hosted on JOOR Passport, will run until October 22 and aims to promote and showcase 30 innovative and contemporary Japanese fashion brands for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 selling season.

Building upon the success of the first edition, which attracted 10,300 retailers from nearly 60 countries, JOOR plans to organize two additional editions of Showcase Japan. This time, the event features a diverse range of categories including sustainability, diversity, and Japanese craftsmanship, encompassing womenswear, menswear, and accessories. However, the current edition primarily focuses on showcasing womenswear brands, with the next edition in January shifting its emphasis to men’s fashion.

Kristin Savilia, CEO of JOOR, expresses her satisfaction with the results of the first event, highlighting that all orders came from international markets. This achievement reflects the shared objective of expanding the global reach and distribution for these exceptional Japanese brands. The collaboration between JOOR and JETRO seeks to enhance the visibility and commercial success of Japanese fashion on an international scale.

Utilizing the virtual platform of JOOR Passport, retailers worldwide have the opportunity to explore and engage with the showcased Japanese brands. The digital format ensures seamless business interactions and ordering processes, offering convenience and efficiency to both brands and buyers. In an industry increasingly reliant on digital solutions, JOOR emerges as a key player in the wholesale sector.

Showcase Japan serves as a testament to the power of virtual events in connecting fashion brands with global retailers. The successful collaboration between JOOR and JETRO serves to promote the creativity, craftsmanship, and uniqueness of Japanese fashion. As the fashion industry adapts to the opportunities and challenges presented by the digital landscape, events like Showcase Japan play a vital role in fostering international collaborations and driving the growth of emerging designers and brands.
