John Varvatos to Make Triumphant Return to Pitti in 2019

John Varvatos, a renowned fashion designer known for his distinct blend of Rockstar style and New England tailoring, is set to make a triumphant return to Pitti in January of next year. This marks his reentry into the European fashion scene as he prepares to showcase all three of his lines at the iconic Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

The upcoming season at Pitti is shaping up to be an exciting one, with other notable brands like Slam Jam planning to kick off the event with an urban culture event at the Marino Marini Museum. This historic Renaissance church houses one of Italy’s most famous sculptures and sets the stage for a unique blend of fashion and art.

Varvatos’ last presentation in Italy in 2015 drew inspiration from a Richard Avedon portrait of Bob Dylan, infusing his collection with a sense of modern rebellion while staying true to his brand’s artisanal roots. His upcoming show aims to continue this trend, bringing a fresh edge to his designs while maintaining the quality craftsmanship he is known for.

In addition to Varvatos’ highly anticipated return, Pitti Uomo 95 will feature other exciting debuts such as Vilebrequin’s first denim collection, produced in collaboration with Italian company Giada SpA. French skiwear specialist Rossignol will also launch a new collection by Philippe Model, showcasing innovative headwear designs.

Scheduled to take place from January 8 to 11, 2019, the next edition of Pitti Uomo promises to be a gathering of some of the most influential names in menswear. It will provide a platform to showcase the latest trends in the fashion world and continue to solidify Pitti’s reputation as a premier event in the industry.
