Jimmy Choo Opens Second Store in Madrid

Luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo has recently opened its second store in Madrid, located in the iconic Galería Canalejas luxury shopping mall. Situated just a short distance from Madrid’s famous Puerta del Sol, the new store encompasses 45 square meters and introduces a fresh interior design concept that reflects the brand’s “new era”.

Upon entering the store, visitors are greeted by a captivating green marble entryway that sets the tone for the warm and inviting atmosphere within. The walls are adorned with textured plaster, while bespoke furnishings, brushed brass accents, intricate architectural details, and travertine woodwork complete the opulent decor.

This newest addition to Jimmy Choo’s retail portfolio in Madrid, together with its other location on Calle José Ortega y Gasset, offers shoppers access to the brand’s entire women’s collection, including shoes, bags, eyewear, small leather goods, accessories, fragrances, and a handpicked selection of bridal pieces.

In addition to its presence in Galería Canalejas, Jimmy Choo also has outlets in Las Rozas Village and a concession in El Corte Inglés de la Castellana. These multiple locations further solidify Jimmy Choo’s commitment to serving the Spanish market.

The inauguration of Galería Canalejas experienced delays due to the ongoing pandemic, but the mall has now opened its doors with the aim of becoming the premier luxury destination in the Spanish capital. Alongside the esteemed Four Seasons hotel, Galería Canalejas is home to an impressive lineup of prestigious brands, including Hermès, Cartier, Loewe, Saint Laurent, Fendi, and Rolex.

Jimmy Choo, a part of the American group Capri Holdings since 2017, has seen significant growth in recent years. Capri Holdings, which also owns renowned fashion houses like Michael Kors and Versace, reported a substantial increase in overall sales, reaching $5.65 billion in the last financial year. Despite being the smallest brand in terms of turnover within the portfolio, Jimmy Choo experienced a remarkable 46.5% surge in sales, generating $613 million.

With the opening of its new store in Galería Canalejas, Jimmy Choo solidifies its presence and dedication to the Spanish market, ensuring that discerning customers in Madrid can indulge in a truly luxurious shopping experience.
