Jil Sander, a renowned name in the world of fashion, has taken a significant step towards redefining its brand image with the launch of a cutting-edge store concept in Tokyo. The brand, now under the ownership of the Onward Luxury Group, has introduced a modern interior design at its flagship store located in the trendy Omotesando district.

Collaborating with esteemed architect John Pawson and creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier, Jil Sander aimed to create a space that embodies the principles of minimalism and sophistication. The result is a 268m2 retail space that exudes tranquility and elegance, with its natural materials and sleek aesthetic.

Upon entering the store, visitors are greeted by a sleek glass façade that allows natural light to illuminate the space. Inside, the combination of limestone floors, cherry wood walls, and softly lit wooden shelves creates an atmosphere that is both inviting and luxurious. The store’s layout keeps the focus on the clothes, displaying one or two looks at a time to provide patrons with an immersive experience.

With plans to implement this new store concept at all future Jil Sander locations, the brand is set to undergo a complete transformation in the coming years. Along with the Tokyo store, Jil Sander has 11 other stores worldwide and is gearing up to open a flagship store in Moscow next year. This strategic move reaffirms Jil Sander’s dedication to evolving its brand identity and upholding its reputation as a trailblazer in high fashion.
