Jean-Paul Gaultier Collaborates with Karim Benzema for Iconic Sunglasses Relaunch

The collaboration between Gaultier and Benzema centers around the relaunch of Gaultier’s iconic sunglasses, the “56-6106,” famously donned by rapper Tupac in the 1990s. As a collector of vintage sunglasses himself, Benzema handpicked this pair from Gaultier’s extensive archives. The sunglasses come in three colors – gold, silver, and black – and are priced at 390 euros. They are available for purchase at the Jean-Paul Gaultier online store and select retailers.

To celebrate the launch of the collaboration, Gaultier organized a special event at the renowned streetwear concept store, Kith, in New York. This exclusive event featured a performance by French rapper Big Ben and was graced by the presence of Benzema himself. The collaboration with Benzema not only pays homage to a new generation of bold and nonconforming achievers but also underscores Gaultier’s commitment to breaking free from conventions and challenging the norm.
