Jacquemus, the renowned fashion brand, has launched a unique and innovative concept called “fun retail” with the opening of a continuous pop-up store in Paris. This concept was inspired by an Instagram post from late 2020, featuring a vending machine filled with the brand’s popular creations. From December 3rd to midnight on December 5th, the brand will showcase the pink version of their “Le Bambino Long” bag in a 24/7 open space.
To align with the aesthetic of their recently launched PINK2 capsule collection, the entire space is designed in monochrome. The collection focuses on collaborations and diversification, offering a range of items such as plush toys, children’s fashion, candles, and even egg cups. Some of these unique creations can also be found in the transparent boxes of the vending machine, adding an element of surprise to the shopping experience.
While there is a possibility of presenting this pop-up concept in other cities, the creator of Jacquemus, Simon Porte Jacquemus, emphasizes the inclusivity of the project. According to his Instagram stories, it’s not just about purchasing items, but also about providing an experience and a concept. This initiative aims to redefine traditional retail and make it more enjoyable for customers.
Interestingly, earlier this year, Jacquemus surprised fans by launching a Parisian pop-up dedicated solely to selling bouquets of flowers wrapped in fabrics from previous collections. This shows the brand’s commitment to continuously exploring innovative and creative approaches to retail.
It’s also worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time a premium brand has centered a retail concept around a vending machine. eBay, an online marketplace, previously used an automated machine for a contest that promoted its luxury bag resale offering.
