Jacquemus Collaborates with Galeries Lafayette to Create an Immersive Experience

Jacquemus, the renowned French designer, is currently taking over the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris, transforming it into a haven of Mediterranean charm and visual wonders. Running from March 1 to April 2, this collaboration promises visitors an extraordinary and immersive experience as they explore the department store and discover the iconic objects and aesthetic that defines Jacquemus.

As visitors approach the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann on Boulevard Haussmann, they are immediately greeted by a striking white cube hosting the Café Fleurs. Within this enchanting space, visitors can indulge in hot beverages and purchase exquisite bouquets. Continuing along the boulevard, the store’s shop windows are adorned with captivating installations. A laundry line with a romantic twist, a launderette, and a coffee-soaked biscuit wrapped in raffia are just a few examples of the captivating displays that feature Jacquemus’ signature pared-down aesthetic and are enhanced with the sounds of cicadas and flowing water, creating an immersive and almost tangible experience.

Inside the store, Jacquemus has established a pop-up space dedicated to their menswear collection, located on the ground floor of the men’s section. This imaginative launderette boasts pristine white walls and a towering stack of terry towels, while the oversized porthole of a washing machine invites visitors to capture memorable selfies. Additionally, an extra-large all-white replica of the brand’s iconic Bambino handbag greets visitors at the entrance of the women’s section. Opening up this gigantic handbag reveals an assortment of small handbags, all available for purchase. Furthermore, in collaboration with Galeries Lafayette, Jacquemus has created exclusive models such as a mini-Bambino handbag in denim and a Chiquito handbag in smooth beige leather.

The collaboration between Jacquemus and Galeries Lafayette is strategically aimed at attracting younger consumers, particularly those who avidly follow the designer’s Instagram stories. With an impressive 5.3 million followers on social media, Jacquemus holds a strong presence in the fashion world.
