Jacquemus Announces New Commercial Director and Expands PR and Influence Team

Jacquemus, the fashion label led by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, has announced the appointment of Mélissa Ait-Ouakli as its new commercial director. Ait-Ouakli, who previously worked at luxury conglomerate LVMH, will assume responsibility for overseeing the e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and customer experience departments. This significant addition to Jacquemus’ managerial structure reflects the brand’s commitment to expanding and enhancing its presence in the fashion industry.

Additionally, Jacquemus has bolstered its PR and influence team under the leadership of manager Nabila Gabr. The team now includes Susan King, who manages PR and VIP dressing requests for the American and French markets, Jacques Edson Fonseca, responsible for PR and VIP dressing requests for Europe (excluding France) and the British market, and Maxime Bui Van, in charge of PR and VIP dressing requests for the APAC, China, and Middle East markets. This expansion further strengthens Jacquemus’ ability to connect with influential individuals and maintain a prominent position within the industry.

During the past year, Jacquemus has been actively recruiting leaders with expertise in various areas such as brand management, communications, human resources, visual merchandising, retail, and product innovation. These strategic appointments illustrate the brand’s dedication to fostering growth and continually evolving in the competitive fashion landscape.

Mélissa Ait-Ouakli’s extensive experience contributes to the brand’s bright future. Having previously held commercial and operational roles at Louis Vuitton, where she worked in diverse locations from New York to Shanghai, Ait-Ouakli brings invaluable expertise to her new role. After a tenure at Burberry overseeing retail development, she rejoined LVMH in 2017. Since 2020, she has served as the strategy and digital director for LVMH’s fashion group, which encompasses esteemed brands such as Celine, Givenchy, Loewe, Pucci, Kenzo, and Marc Jacobs.

With the addition of Ait-Ouakli and the expansion of the PR and influence team, Jacquemus is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the fashion industry. These strategic moves highlight the brand’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its determination to remain at the forefront of the ever-changing fashion landscape. As Jacquemus continues to captivate audiences with its unique designs and creative vision, the future holds great promise for this Parisian fashion house.
