Italian Postal Service Pays Tribute to Gucci with Special Stamp

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Italian postal service and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development have joined forces to pay tribute to Gucci with a remarkable creation. This unprecedented homage brings the luxury house’s iconic style within reach of an envelope. The Gucci Flora motif, delicately adorned on a small oval piece of paper, is enough to captivate even the most fashionable philatelists. The stamp, recently introduced, serves as a commemoration of the renowned Florentine brand’s anniversary, while also highlighting the marvels of Italy’s manufacturing and economic system, as well as the essence of the Made in Italy concept.

The postage stamp, featuring the distinctive floral patterns designed by Vittorio Acornero de Testa in 1966, exquisitely showcases the brand’s logo and founding year, 1921. It is available in a range of collectible products and presented in an album for enthusiasts to treasure. It harmoniously echoes Gucci’s recent foray into the stationery market, where they launched an exquisite line of luxury paper goods. However, these stamps can be exclusively obtained from select Italian post offices, specialized boutiques, and the official website of the Italian postal service.

This innovative initiative follows in the footsteps of another iconic fragrance as it celebrates its centennial milestone. Earlier this year, the French postal service released a stamp featuring Chanel N°5, paying homage to the legendary perfume’s enduring legacy. These extraordinary stamps serve as not only a unique tribute but also as valuable collectibles, capturing the essence of these iconic brands and their rich histories.
