Italian luxury jewellery brand Pomellato, owned by Kering, has taken a strategic move to establish a presence in Valenza, a renowned hub for jewellery and goldsmithery in Italy. Pomellato has acquired a minority stake in the goldsmiths Costanzo & Rizzetto, with the specific details of the stake and investment value remaining undisclosed. Pomellato, which has been manufacturing its products at its laboratory in Milan since 1967, aims to enhance its production capacity and leverage the expertise of Valenza through this alliance with Costanzo & Rizzetto. Valenza, a small town in Piedmont, is well-known for its longstanding tradition of goldsmithery, and other luxury brands like Cartier and Bulgari have also recognized the value of establishing a presence in the area.
Costanzo & Rizzetto, founded in 2008 by Davide Costanzo and Gregorio Rizzetto, who come from families with a rich heritage in the goldsmith trade, specializes in jewellery making and gem setting. The company currently collaborates with leading international jewellery brands and operates a 1,200-square-meter facility that combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques.
Pomellato’s investment in Costanzo & Rizzetto is a crucial step in its growth strategy, according to Managing Director Sabina Belli, who highlights the potential for future synergies and the enhancement of their overall manufacturing process.
