Italian luxury brand Marni collaborates with Uniqlo

Italian luxury brand Marni is gearing up for an exciting collaboration with Japanese ready-to-wear group Uniqlo, with the aim of enhancing Uniqlo’s lifewear collection. The collaboration, titled “Timeless Modernized,” aims to incorporate Marni’s playful style into Uniqlo’s functional and versatile pieces.

Francesco Risso, the creative director of Marni since 2016, partnered with Uniqlo to create a Spring/Summer 2022 collection consisting of approximately twenty pieces for both men and women. The collection will feature a range of items such as shirts, trousers, t-shirts, anoraks, bubble skirts, and socks, all infused with Marni’s signature aesthetic.

By joining forces with a mass-market brand like Uniqlo, Marni, founded in 1994 and acquired by the OTB group in 2015, will gain widespread visibility while staying true to its artistic vision. The collaboration allows Marni to showcase its colorful creations, adorned with checkered, striped, and floral patterns, appealing to a younger audience. This move comes after Marni’s recent foray into the metaverse with their immersive experience, “Wearweare.”

Fashion enthusiasts will have the opportunity to get their hands on the Marni capsule collection for Uniqlo starting on May 19th, both in stores and online in France. This collaboration presents an exciting chance for consumers to enjoy Marni’s luxury aesthetic at a more accessible price point, making it a collection that shouldn’t be missed.
