Italian holding company Exor has agreed to invest 80 million euros in Chinese luxury brand Shang Xia, which was co-founded by Hermès and designer Jiang Qiong Er a decade ago. The investment will make Exor the majority shareholder of Shang Xia through a reserved capital increase. The co-founders, including Hermès, will retain their shareholdings. Shang Xia is known for combining contemporary creativity with traditional Chinese culture, offering a range of products including clothing, jewelry, accessories, furniture, and home decor. The brand currently has stores in China and Paris, with plans to open two more stores in Singapore and Taipei next year. Exor’s investment is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
