Italian Fashion Designer Ennio Capasa Returns with New Brand Capasa Milano

Italian fashion designer Ennio Capasa is returning to the industry after a six-year retirement, this time with his new brand called Capasa Milano. Having previously sold his brand Costume National in 2016, Capasa is now focusing on ready-to-wear clothing and accessories for both men and women. The brand will primarily be sold online through mini limited-edition collections. The first collection, “Before it starts,” is set to be unveiled during Milan Fashion Week and will be available for purchase in September.

Capasa’s vision for Capasa Milano is to offer timeless and sustainable high-end fashion, with a strong emphasis on “made in Italy” production. The brand will also prioritize couture and technology in its designs. To ensure the quality and craftsmanship of the ready-to-wear pieces, production will be outsourced to trusted partners. Knitwear will be manufactured by Modit International, while shoes will be produced by Him (formerly known as the Onward Luxury Group).

Currently, the new brand is self-financed and marks a reunion of the Capasa siblings. Ennio will take the lead role in the company, with his brother Carlo providing strategic support. However, Carlo will not be involved in the operational management of the brand as he had been in the past. Additionally, their sister Rita, based in New York, will be joining the team to contribute to the marketing and distribution aspects of the brand.

Capasa Milano aims to combine Ennio Capasa’s artistic vision and industry expertise to create a brand that celebrates Italian craftsmanship while incorporating sustainable and innovative design elements. With its debut during Milan Fashion Week, the brand is poised to make a statement and reaffirm Capasa’s prominent position in the fashion world.
