Hugo Boss Bolsters Team with Top Executive from Tommy Hilfiger

Hugo Boss, the renowned German fashion powerhouse, is intensifying its efforts to bolster its team by appointing another top executive from Tommy Hilfiger. In line with his ongoing mission to strengthen the brand, Daniel Grieder, CEO of Hugo Boss since June, has recruited Christopher Körber as the general manager of the Hugo Boss Ticino facility in Switzerland.

This is not the first time that Körber has been associated with Hugo Boss. He had previously worked for the company from 1998 to 2007, during which he held the position of head of brand management for footwear and accessories. Körber then spent the next decade at Tommy Hilfiger, where he rose through the ranks to become the president of Tommy Hilfiger Product and Tommy Hilfiger Global. In his new role, Körber will report directly to Grieder.

As the general manager of the Ticino facility, Körber will be responsible for overseeing the commercial activity and product management of Hugo Boss’s Coldrerio business unit. This unit deals with the production of various items, including footwear, leather accessories, bodywear, hosiery, knitwear, and shirts. Francesco Cicognani will continue to lead the industrial activity of the facility as the senior vice-president of product development and operations.

As part of this organizational shift, Filippo Bernasconi, the senior vice-president of Brand & Creative Management for Shoes & Leather Accessories, and Davide Corniolo, the general manager of Hugo Boss Ticino and senior vice-president of operations for Shoes & Leather Accessories and Finance & Business Services, will be leaving the company.

This move by Hugo Boss demonstrates Grieder’s commitment to rejuvenating the brand and attracting top talent from his previous professional experience. With ambitious goals for the future, Hugo Boss aims to revamp its management team and harness the expertise of individuals like Körber to drive growth and innovation.

Grieder’s existing connection with Tommy Hilfiger further strengthens the ties between the two fashion giants. The shared experience and understanding between Grieder and Körber are expected to contribute to a seamless transition and collaborative efforts to enhance Hugo Boss’s position within the industry.

These strategic appointments affirm Hugo Boss’s dedication to strengthening its leadership team and positioning itself for success in a highly competitive market. Under Grieder’s leadership, the company is actively working to overhaul its operations and realize its future vision. By enlisting the expertise of seasoned executives like Körber, Hugo Boss is signaling its determination to remain a key player in the fashion industry, constantly innovating and evolving its offerings.
