High-End Fashion Brands Launch Sustainable Capsule Collections for Spring

In a move towards embracing nature and outdoor adventures, several high-end fashion brands are launching capsule collections for the upcoming spring season. These collections prioritize outerwear that is designed with sustainability in mind, a growing trend in the fashion industry.

Canadian brand Canada Goose has teamed up with photographer Cole Sprouse for their latest campaign titled “Live in the Open.” Known for their durable and weather-resistant apparel, Canada Goose has chosen Portugal’s lush Azores islands as the backdrop for their collection. Sprouse captures the essence of the great outdoors, showcasing windbreakers, waterproof jackets, sweatshirts, and accessories seamlessly blending into tall grass and verdant trails. This limited edition capsule collection, priced between €150 and €825, can be found in Canada Goose stores and their online shop.

Danish affordable luxury brand Ganni has also unveiled their fourth collaboration with Icelandic label 66° North. presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week, this sustainable capsule collection features 14 outerwear pieces made from recycled nylon and polyester. Inspired by the stunning Icelandic landscapes, the collection’s color palette pays homage to the country’s iconic northern lights and volcanic soil. With prices ranging from €110 to €575, the collection will be available in Ganni and 66º North stores in early spring.

In another collaboration that celebrates the adventurous spirit, Japanese activewear brand And Wander has joined forces with French label Kitsuné. Kitsuné’s latest collection draws inspiration from mountain trekking. Bandannas and climbing-style sweatshirts, priced at €540, take center stage in this collaboration. The capsule collection features versatile pieces in earthy tones, crafted from water-repellent and reflective nylon. Graphic prints add a touch of urban adventure to these functional items. The collection will be available worldwide, online and in both brands’ stores.

These collaborations illustrate a growing trend in the fashion industry to merge style with sustainability and a connection to nature.
