Hermès Recognized as an Inclusive Company by Financial Times

French luxury house Hermès has been recognized as one of the most inclusive companies by the prestigious British newspaper Financial Times. Conducted by independent firm Statista, the ranking evaluated workers’ perception of their employers’ inclusion policies and their ability to promote diversity across various aspects such as gender, sexual orientation, skin color, disability, and age. This comprehensive study surveyed 15,000 companies and over 100,000 employees across 16 European countries between April and August 2020.

Maintaining its reputation as a desirable employer, Hermès has secured the fifth position in the Financial Times’ esteemed Top 100 “Diversity Leaders” list. The brand ranked just behind French supermarket chain Biocoop, German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon, Dutch travel website Booking.com, and Norwegian financial services company DNB – a remarkable achievement in the highly competitive industry.

The luxury fashion sector as a whole has made notable strides in promoting diversity and inclusion. Giorgio Armani, an iconic fashion brand, tied with Hermès in sixth place in the diversity rankings. Other luxury fashion brands that received recognition include Prada Group in 57th place and Hugo Boss in 97th place.

Upon hearing about its ranking, Hermès expressed its gratitude and commitment to fostering diversity. The brand acknowledged the invaluable contributions made by women and men from diverse backgrounds and emphasized that maintaining this mosaic of talent is essential for the company’s growth and creativity. As a responsible employer, Hermès actively implements ethical practices, diversity management, gender equality policies, and promotes a supportive environment for people with disabilities.
