Hermès in the Making

Hermès, the renowned luxury brand, is set to take over the EuraTechnologies incubator in Lille for its immersive event titled “Hermès in the Making.” Running from July 8th to July 16th, this event will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the brand’s craftsmanship and commitments firsthand and interact with the company’s teams.

After successful launches in Copenhagen, Turin, and Singapore, “Hermès in the Making” continues its global tour with a stop in Lille. The event will showcase the brand’s various professions through four main themes: the preservation and transmission of knowledge and skills, the respect and quality of materials, a commitment to long-term vision, and a strong local presence.

At the event, Hermès will present its rich history and notable achievements through a self-guided exhibition featuring captivating displays and projections. Furthermore, visitors will have the chance to engage with around ten artisans specializing in different crafts within Hermès workshops, including leather goods, watchmaking, and silk. These artisans will offer demonstrations, workshops, and other activities to give insights into the intricacies of their work.

Aside from highlighting its expertise, Hermès aims to shed light on employment opportunities through “Hermès in the Making.” With a remarkable 23% growth last year, the brand continues to expand its workshops and retail locations. To meet increasing product demand, the company plans to accelerate its recruitment efforts. Over the past decade, Hermès has doubled its workforce and currently employs 19,700 individuals worldwide, with 63% based in France.

Admission to the “Hermès in the Making” event in Lille is free, and visitors can register through the dedicated webpage. This event not only offers a glimpse into the world of Hermès but also has the potential to inspire future vocations in the luxury industry.
