Hermès Expands with New Store in Tianjin, China

Hermès, the renowned Parisian fashion house, is making an impressive expansion in China with the opening of a new store in Tianjin. This exciting development brings the total number of Hermès stores in mainland China to 28, showcasing the brand’s dedication and longstanding relationship with the region.

Although Hermès had previously ventured into Tianjin with a store in 2011, it regrettably closed its doors just four years later. However, the brand is now making a triumphant comeback with a fresh store that boasts a locally crafted façade made of vibrant, glazed ceramic bricks, creating a visually stunning contrast against the expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Upon entering the store, visitors will be welcomed by a spacious layout that begins with an elegant display of women’s silks at the main entrance. Moving through the store, they will find an impressive assortment of fashion jewelry, perfumes, and beauty products. The carefully designed store layout guides guests through the maison’s collection, showcasing the women’s universe and featuring a dedicated alcove for jewelry and watches.

The heart of the store unveils the highly coveted equestrian and leather collections, followed by the men’s universe, which presents a carefully curated selection of shoes, accessories, and silks. The store itself exudes an air of luxury, with rectangular salons boasting iconic Grecques lighting and ‘Faubourg’ mosaics. These salons are further enhanced by custom-made carpets, each with its own unique attributes that add to the ambiance of each section.

Creating a captivating atmosphere, a curved lighting cove has been embedded into the ceiling, casting an illuminating glow throughout the store. The color palette employed ranges from deep reds to blues, contributing to the overall aesthetic. Additionally, custom furniture and inviting lounges have been strategically placed, elevating the shopping experience for visitors. Notably, the store also houses a carefully curated collection of 21 artworks, including contemporary photography from the esteemed Hermès collection, etchings, and illustrations from Émile Hermès’ personal collection, and carré prints.

This expansion in Tianjin serves as a testament to Hermès’ ongoing global growth strategy. As evidence of their commitment to expanding their presence worldwide, the brand recently opened a new store in Aspen, Colorado, adding to their existing network of 34 locations in the United States. With these new stores, Hermès solidifies its position as a leader in the luxury fashion industry on a global scale.
