Creative director Alessandro Michele will unveil his Cruise 2018 collection on May 29th in this magnificent setting. After being denied access to the temples of the Acropolis in Greece, Gucci decided that the historic Palais Pitti would provide the perfect backdrop for its models.
The show will take place in the Galerie Palatine within the Pitti Palace, a remarkable architectural masterpiece. This location not only serves as a museum for the Florentine palace, but also houses renowned Renaissance masterpieces by artists such as Raphael and Titian.

During a press conference in Florence, Gucci also announced their financial support for the restoration of the nearby Boboli Gardens, an adjacent garden to the Palais Pitti. Over the course of three years, Gucci will invest 2 million euros in this restoration project.
