Gucci Expands Web3 Exhibition Space with ‘The Next 100 Years of Gucci’

Gucci, the renowned Italian luxury brand, is continuing its exploration of the digital art world with the expansion of its Web3 exhibition space, called “The Next 100 Years of Gucci.” After collaborating with SuperRare, a leading art crypto specialist gallery, on their first NFT artwork collection in June, Gucci is now unveiling a new artistic program on its Gucci Vault Art Space.

The new exhibition features a range of static and animated creations that reimagine Gucci’s iconic double G logo and Flora motif. In this second installment, 11 digital artists have been invited to offer their unique interpretations of Gucci’s heritage and project it into the future. The lineup includes talented artists such as Alexis Christodoulou, Aliendope, Diberkato, Drew Young, Jordan Schiffer, Pet Liger, trs.mnz, Tyler Spangler, Vexx, YEAHYEAHCHLOE, and Ignorance1.

With the launch of the second drop of “The Next 100 Years of Gucci,” a total of 24 new NFT artworks are now available for auction on the #VaultArtSpace platform, which was created through Gucci’s partnership with SuperRare. These artworks come with a built-in tool that enables online bidding by connecting a crypto wallet. This strategic move aligns with a recent study conducted by Bain & Company and the Fondazione Altagamma, which predicts that NFTs and the metaverse could account for a significant portion of the luxury market, potentially reaching 5 to 10% by 2030.

This expansion of Gucci’s Web3 exhibition space and continued collaboration with SuperRare highlights the brand’s commitment to embracing digital art and exploring the possibilities of the metaverse. It also demonstrates Gucci’s forward-thinking approach to the rapidly evolving luxury market. As the brand celebrates its centenary, it is clear that Gucci is not afraid to push boundaries and innovate in the digital realm.
