Gucci and Intesa Sanpaolo Partner to Support Sustainable Transition in Supply Chain

As part of its Gucci Equilibrium program, Italian fashion house Gucci has teamed up with Intesa Sanpaolo bank to support the sustainable transition of actors in its supply chain. Gucci is offering financial assistance to promote more responsible production, extending its support to partners throughout its entire production chain. To achieve this, Gucci has partnered with Intesa Sanpaolo to help stakeholders in its supply chain optimize their activities in terms of social and environmental responsibility. Through this partnership, companies linked to Gucci’s production ecosystem will have access to tailored financing solutions, focused on waste reduction, developing sustainable energy sources, and promoting gender equality.

Gucci and Intesa Sanpaolo aim to launch an innovative model that supports the productive excellence of Made in Italy. This partnership allows Gucci’s supply chain to have autonomous access to credit under better conditions, enabling them to embark on their own path of industrial evolution in line with green revolution and ecological transition principles.

CEO Marco Bizzarri expressed pride in inaugurating the first supply chain agreement for the fashion sector with Intesa Sanpaolo, stating that it allows the Gucci ecosystem to take another step towards sustainability. This agreement builds on the partnership between Gucci and Intesa Sanpaolo established in 2020 to support the development of the luxury brand’s suppliers during the Covid-19 crisis. Over the course of 12 months, the “Supply Chain Development Program” assisted more than 150 Gucci partners in Italy, with an estimated total loan amount of approximately €230 million.
