Grand Opening of Maison Chloé and Guy Bourdin Exhibition

The grand opening of Maison Chloé on July 2, 2017, marks an important milestone for the fashion brand. This versatile space serves as a platform for Chloé to showcase its rich history and ancestral creations. To celebrate the inauguration, Chloé decided to pay tribute to the renowned French photographer Guy Bourdin by organizing an exhibition in his honor.

Guy Bourdin, who sadly passed away in March 1991, had a special connection with Chloé and passionately captured the essence of the brand’s models starting from the 1950s. This deep appreciation for Bourdin’s work is now being brought to life through a captivating exhibition at Maison Chloé.

In collaboration with Judith Clark, responsible for envisioning the space as a museum, Chloé aims to highlight the image of the Chloé woman with her bohemian chic style through Bourdin’s remarkable works. The exhibition, titled “Feminities – Guy Bourdin,” is set to run from July 4 to September 6, 2017, in the “Chloé Girls – The Anthology A-Z” room, allowing visitors to delve into the early history of the fashion house, which was established in 1952.

Situated at 28 rue de la Baume in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Maison Chloé will serve as a representation of the brand’s heritage. Spanning across 5 floors, this impressive space will not only house exhibitions but also grant visitors access to the fashion house’s archives on the 5th floor. This unique opportunity to explore Chloé’s archives further solidifies the brand’s position in the fashion world and establishes Maison Chloé as a symbol of the brand’s legacy and influence.

The strategic timing of Maison Chloé’s opening on July 2, 2017, during Haute Couture Fashion Week demonstrates Chloé’s commitment to displaying its prominence within the fashion industry and its deep ties to the cultural heritage of the French capital. As regular exhibitions continue to take place, Maison Chloé will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in preserving and celebrating the legacy of Chloé and its contribution to fashion.
