Graduate Fashion Foundation Digital Designer Profile at London Fashion Week 2020

Graduate Fashion Week 2020 was a breeding ground for innovative design talent, and now, these up-and-coming designers are gearing up to make their mark on a virtual stage during London Fashion Week (LFW). The highly anticipated event will see the Graduate Fashion Foundation (GFF) showcasing six handpicked designers through the Graduate Fashion Foundation Digital Designer Profile during LFW, which is set to take place from the 19th to the 23rd of February. Teaming up with Visualist, a cutting-edge productivity suite, GFF has assembled a team of creative minds to produce captivating photoshoots and videos that will ensure a visually stunning digital showcase at LFW.

This exciting collaboration not only caters to industry professionals but also opens up the world of fashion to a wider audience, allowing the Foundation to spotlight the extraordinary talents of these budding designers as they carve their niche in the fashion realm and build their brands. Among the talented group of designers is Sarah Louise Koessler, a French/British designer based in Portugal, who champions empowerment through her brand SLK Sarah-Louise Designs, creating garments that instill confidence and a sense of uniqueness in the wearer. Tyesha Camacho, based in London, explores themes of art, graffiti, music, and social issues through her brand ‘Camat by Tyesha’ in her innovative ‘Redefine’ collection.

UK designer Sophie Parnaby focuses on luxury apparel and accessories, crafting intricately embellished pieces from recycled plastics using 3D print technology. Christopher Reid, a Scottish designer, draws inspiration from 18th-century aesthetics and Hammer horror films for his spellbinding corsetry collection, blending elements of history and fantasy. Hena Begum, a Bengali Muslim-born UK designer, creates experimental womenswear that reflects her modest fashion journey under her brand, ‘Modestly.’

Rounding out the stellar lineup is Joshua Scott, a visionary fashion print designer from the UK. Scott draws inspiration from the lush tropical foliage of Kew Gardens’ Palm House, merging historical silhouettes with 1980s sportswear influences for a truly unique aesthetic. Joy Campbell, the director of Brand Partnerships at Graduate Fashion Foundation, emphasizes that this collaboration is a golden opportunity for the selected designers to make a mark in the fashion landscape, especially in these trying times. The expertise of the Visualist platform has enabled these designers to collaborate seamlessly from afar, ensuring that their brands are portrayed accurately and creatively to a global audience.
