Global Retail Industry: Alibaba, Asics, and Boss

Alibaba has extended its reach in Spain through a partnership with global commerce network CommerceHub. The collaboration aims to enhance Alibaba’s Miravia platform, which combines a marketplace with an entertainment space. In other news, Asics EMEA has reported strong performance with a significant increase in net revenue for Q2. The company saw growth across all distribution channels, with a consolidated net revenue increase of 12.1% compared to the same period last year. The increase was driven by strong performance in categories such as Performance Running, Tennis, Indoor, and SportStyle. E-commerce revenues also saw year-on-year growth of 32.9%.

Meanwhile, Boss has partnered with the National Football League (NFL) to expand its popular Boss x NFL merchandise collection. The collection includes a range of apparel featuring an expanded list of 22 teams from the NFL. To promote the collection, Boss has enlisted the help of NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Trevon Diggs, and Damar Hamlin. The campaign aims to capture the spirit of football and offer fans a stylish way to support their favorite teams.
