Giorgio Armani Presents Spring-Summer 2023 Menswear Collection

Giorgio Armani once again solidified his status as one of the greatest tailors in the world as he presented his highly anticipated Spring-Summer 2023 menswear collection in Milan. The fashion event was attended by a star-studded front row, including heartthrobs Regé-Jean Page and Jonathan Bailey from the hit series Bridgerton.

As fans eagerly gathered outside Armani’s flagship store on Via Borgonuovo, Page and Bailey made their grand entrance into the palazzo. Page, who is the face of Armani’s new fragrance Armani Code, expressed his gratitude at being able to attend the show. He declared that Armani has been the undisputed greatest tailor in the world for the past five decades.

Bailey, sporting a stylish new beard, enthusiastically praised the collection, stating that he would proudly wear each and every look. He also shared his plans to grace the Paris menswear season and savor some leisure time at the Glastonbury festival before embarking on his next acting project.

Joining the heartthrobs in the front row were Lucas Bravo, known for his role as Lily Collins’ love interest in Emily in Paris, as well as Mads Mikkelsen and Scott Eastwood, the son of legendary actor Clint Eastwood. Eastwood also happens to be the face of Giorgio Armani’s fall/winter 2022/23 campaign.

Adding to the excitement, before the show, Emporio Armani 7 Milano, the designer’s basketball team, rejoiced in their fourth championship win in Italy. Several team members were in attendance at the fashion event, enhancing the already electrifying atmosphere. Furthermore, American basketball players D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Quentin Grimes, and Cole Anthony were seated in the front row during the second show, adding a touch of athleticism to the occasion.

Armani’s collection skillfully showcased his mastery of tailoring, with effortlessly draped jackets in lustrous linen and understated cotton. The trousers featured double pleats, flowing down to molded sandals or sneakers. The suits and blazers were perfectly paired with band-collar zigzag-print shirts, elegantly worn untucked. Armani also incorporated Asian influences into the collection, presenting a striking coin-gray linen Mao jacket and a distinctive flint-gray Nehru jacket adorned with a GA print. The designer also introduced playful elements with the Armani logo, incorporating it into cotton beach cocktail scarves and silk surgeon’s shirts.

Remaining faithful to his signature style, Armani curated a color palette inspired by sand, periwinkle blue, and shimmering lichen. As he gracefully took his final bow at the end of the show, he was met with a resounding standing ovation from the captivated audience of 300, unequivocally affirming that even at 87 years old, he continues to create extraordinary collections that astound and inspire.

Giorgio Armani’s Spring-Summer 2023 menswear collection was a testament to his unrivaled talent and expertise in the realm of fashion. With an awe-inspiring front row graced by heartthrobs and a diverse audience that included champion basketball players, the show was a true spectacle of elegance, style, and cross-industry appreciation.
