Giles Deacon appointed as Design Director at Aspinal of London

Giles Deacon, famed for his extravagant wedding and eveningwear designs, has recently taken on the role of Design Director at Aspinal of London, a luxury accessories brand. His appointment comes after a successful collaboration between the two brands, which featured quirky illustrations on some of Aspinal’s signature bags.

In an Instagram post announcing his new position, Deacon expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity and thanked the company executives for entrusting him with such a pivotal role. Despite his previous focus on his couture business, Giles Deacon Couture, he assured his loyal clientele that the line will continue alongside his new role at Aspinal.

Known for his transition from ready-to-wear to one-of-a-kind pieces, Deacon’s unique design sensibility has garnered him widespread recognition. The capsule collection he created with Aspinal showcased his creative vision, transforming classic Aspinal bags such as the Trunk clutch, Hat box, Regent tote, Micro Lottie, Soho clutch, and Hepburn bag with innovative illustrations.

As the new Design Director, Deacon will be working closely with CEO Lisa Montague at Aspinal’s headquarters in Sussex, building on the success of their collaboration and setting the stage for a promising future for both Giles Deacon and Aspinal of London.
