Gigi Hadid Joins Expert Panel for LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers 2020

Renowned supermodel Gigi Hadid is set to lend her fashion expertise for a noble cause as she joins the expert panel for the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers 2020. This prestigious award, now in its seventh edition, will be held in Paris on February 27-28, where Gigi will be among the 68 experts tasked with evaluating the emerging fashion talent. Joining her are nine new additions to the panel, including influencers Caroline Daur and Leaf Greener, activist Sinéad Burke, and several other prominent figures in the fashion industry.

Delphine Arnaud, in a statement, expressed deep appreciation for the new members of the expert panel, describing them as crucial figures in the fashion world whose insights are instrumental in identifying and nurturing promising young designers. The primary aim of the LVMH Prize is to provide support to up-and-coming talent by offering a substantial financial grant of €300,000 to one deserving designer to help propel their fashion career forward. In addition to the financial assistance, the winner will also benefit from a year-long mentorship program. Furthermore, the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, which offers a grant of €150,000 along with mentorship, aims to further recognize and support exceptional talent in the industry.

In the past, the LVMH Prize has been awarded to notable individuals such as Marine Serre, Grace Wales Bonner, Jacquemus, and Thebe Magugu, the winner of the 2019 edition. This prestigious accolade serves as a launching pad for emerging designers, propelling them to greater heights in the competitive world of fashion.
