Ganni Showcases Upcycled Collection ‘Stage’

In celebration of Copenhagen’s digital Fashion Week, Danish brand Ganni took the opportunity to showcase their latest collection, which features rental pieces made from upcycled Ganni garments. The collection, called “Stage,” pays homage to the music world, specifically the “MTV Generation,” and includes lace-up corsets, flared pants, glitter jackets, vests, and cowboy boots. This unique collection aims to cater to aspiring rockstars and sustainability-conscious fashion enthusiasts alike.

The creative director of Ganni, Ditte Reffstrup, collaborated with costume designer Nanna Bernholm for this capsule collection. Bernholm was given access to Ganni’s previous collections in order to reimagine and transform them into 26 one-of-a-kind pieces. These garments were redesigned with vibrant splashes of paint and embellished with rhinestones, studs, and sequins.

Reffstrup expresses excitement about giving old or worn textiles a second life and highlights the importance of rethinking our consumption habits and finding new uses for what we already own. This approach aligns with Ganni’s commitment to customization and their donation of “dormant” pieces.

To prevent excessive accumulation in people’s wardrobes, Ganni has implemented a rental model for this collection. Customers have the option to rent each piece for a period of one to three weeks, with prices ranging from £26 to £78. The brand also provides a return label and handles the cleaning process, ensuring added safety measures amid the ongoing health crisis.

The rental service for the “Stage” collection is currently accessible through the Ganni Repeat website and is available in Denmark and the United Kingdom. For fashion lovers who want to embrace sustainability and style, Ganni’s innovative approach offers an exciting alternative.
