Ganni Expands Presence in Chinese Market with Alibaba’s Tmall

Ganni, the renowned Danish fashion brand, is set to further expand its presence in the Chinese market with the launch of its direct-to-consumer (D2C) distribution on Alibaba’s Tmall. With its debut on the popular online marketplace slated for June 28, Ganni will gain access to Tmall’s massive user base of over 800 million active users. This move is significant as it will be the first time that Chinese consumers will have the opportunity to shop the entire range of Ganni products through the brand’s own customized shopping experience. The Tmall store will offer exclusive collections and limited-edition product drops that cannot be found elsewhere.

By venturing into China, Ganni is pursuing a broader strategy to tap into the Asian market. Earlier this year, the brand introduced its webstore, ganni.com, to South Korean consumers. In addition to the Tmall launch, Ganni is actively establishing its presence on popular Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo, WeChat, and Little Red Boo. To generate excitement around the upcoming Tmall store, the brand has planned live-stream events featuring influencers.

Through its direct-to-consumer approach and collaboration with Alibaba’s Tmall, Ganni is strategically positioning itself to cater directly to Chinese consumers and enhance its foothold in the Chinese market. This move not only allows the brand to offer its full range of products in an exclusive and customized environment, but also provides an opportunity to expand its customer base in one of the world’s largest e-commerce markets. With its unwavering focus on international growth, Ganni is clearly demonstrating its ambition to establish itself as a global fashion powerhouse.
