FUTUR & LUXE Webinars: Exploring Key Topics Driving the Luxury Industry

FUTUR & LUXE webinars have returned to discuss key topics driving the luxury industry. Covering a range of subjects such as jewelry and watchmaking, Web3 and tech, supply chain, and sustainability, these exclusive online events offer roundtable discussions and Q&A sessions with industry experts. Throughout the past few months, the webinars have provided valuable insights, and viewers can watch or rewatch them during the summer season.

The first webinar focused on the world of jewelry and watchmaking, featuring renowned brands and houses like De Beers, Sotheby’s, Cartier, Breitling, and Catchpoint. The event shed light on the new consumer tribes, including “Daredevil heirs,” “Young self-made millionaires,” “Woke snobiety,” and “Shanghaikers.” It highlighted their strong attraction to the digital world, and industry players are adapting to meet their digital expectations while preserving their heritage. The webinar explores the future of premium jewelry and watchmaking and can be accessed for free.

Another webinar dedicated to Web3 initiatives delved into the fundamentals and prospects of NFTs and the metaverse. Nine specialists from companies like IFOP, Exclusible, Ledger, Garou, Skyboy, The Sandbox, Farfetch, Bird&Bird, and POAP shared their insights on the 3.0 strategies of the industry. They discussed topics ranging from crypto retail and blockchain to community engagement and digital ownership. The webinar is available for replay, accompanied by a 77-page special edition featuring exclusive reflections and interviews.

The tech and supply chain webinar, held in partnership with Centric Software, LVMH/Aura Blockchain Consortium, Richemont, BSR, and Farfetch, addressed the challenges faced by the industry. With disruptions in international flows due to the health crisis, the supply chain had to adapt through omnichannel strategies, data analysis, neo-sourcing, and e-commerce. Digital tools also contributed to a reevaluation of the environmental impact, and the webinar emphasized the importance of technology in areas such as cybersecurity, recruitment, and training.

Sustainability took center stage in the luxury industry, and the webinar featuring Richemont, LVMH, the Les Echos-Le Parisien group, Microsoft France, L’Oréal Luxe, and Vestiaire Collective showcased numerous projects with environmental value. The industry recognizes the increasing engagement of consumers and has incorporated sustainability into all aspects of their value chains. Topics such as regenerative practices, circular economy, storytelling for transparency, training, and collaborations were explored. The webinar resulted in a white paper gathering insights from 35 experts, including representatives from Moët Hennessy, Nuxe, Guerlain, and La Bouche Rouge. The white paper and webinar replay offer valuable insights into luxury sustainability.
