French Government Call for Projects: Fostering Innovative Industrial Solutions

The French government has recently launched a call for projects aimed at fostering innovative industrial solutions that can significantly shape the French industry. This initiative, which commenced on September 9th, is designed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and drive the growth of the green economy in the fashion industry. The call invites submissions for projects related to various aspects of sustainability, including new models of circular economy, recycling and material optimization, responsible production methods, bio-based materials, waste reduction, and the use of recycled components.

To be considered by the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), project applicants must meet specific criteria. The potential impact of the project on the industry, its potential for generating value, and its adaptability to other territories and sectors will be carefully evaluated.

With a budget of 20 billion euros, this call for projects will remain open until April 30th, 2021. However, an intermediate deadline on November 30th, 2020 has been set. Any individual or organization can submit their proposals, and even those with limited experience can request assistance in preparing their project dossier. Additionally, the government’s website provides information on other Future Investment Programs (PIA) that relate to circular economy and eco-efficiency in various industries. Projects submitted to the call for industrial solutions for eco-design and recycling of textiles, footwear, and fashion accessories may also be redirected to the PIA.

For those interested in submitting a project proposal, further details can be found on the website provided.
