French fashion designer Jacquemus partners with Danish brand Tekla for homewear collaboration

French fashion designer Jacquemus is making a foray into the world of homewear and home items with a new collaboration with Danish brand Tekla. The collection, which includes bedding, towels, and homewear, is aimed at appealing to Jacquemus’ fans during the holiday season. This collaboration serves as a testing ground for the designer to explore the homewear market, potentially leading to the launch of a dedicated home line in the future.

The partnership between Jacquemus and Tekla came about organically, with the French designer expressing his long-standing dream of creating a bedding and homewear line. The collaboration with Tekla, a brand that shares the same universe and inspiration, was a perfect match. The collection features a range of items, including bedspreads, towels, bathrobes, pyjamas, all crafted from Tekla fabrics such as percale, poplin, terry cloth, 100% organic cotton, and 100% French linen. The design aesthetic draws inspiration from Tekla’s classic and minimalist style, while also incorporating Jacquemus’ playful touch.

Among the standout pieces in the collection are a ruffled strapless top inspired by men’s boxers, a striped shirt tied in the back with ribbons reminiscent of old pillowcases, and a bathrobe resembling a shirt-jacket with large patch pockets on the chest. Additionally, the collection features an extra-large towel designed to envelop couples.

The launch of the collaboration was accompanied by a visually captivating campaign photographed by renowned Danish photographer Philip Messmann on Nonza beach in Corsica. Messmann, who has collaborated with Tekla on numerous occasions, brings his unique perspective to showcase the collection.

The prices for the collection range from €45 to €195 for ready-to-wear items, €160 to €270 for bedding, and terry cloth pieces starting at €125. It is exclusively available on teklafabrics.com and jacquemus.com, as well as in the Jacquemus Paris boutique on Avenue Montaigne. The collection has already garnered a positive response, with certain pieces, such as the short pyjamas, selling out within a day of the collaboration’s launch on November 30.

This collaboration between Jacquemus and Tekla marks a significant expansion of Jacquemus’ universe into the realm of homewear. With its distinct design aesthetic and use of high-quality materials, the collection is set to attract fashion-forward individuals seeking to elevate their home style this holiday season.
