French fashion brand Jacquemus opens store on Avenue Montaigne

French fashion brand Jacquemus, known for its whimsical designs and Instagram presence, is making a bold move by setting up shop in Paris’s prestigious Golden Triangle. The brand’s founder, Simon Porte Jacquemus, recently announced on Instagram that they will be opening a store on Avenue Montaigne on September 27th, sparking excitement and speculation among fashion enthusiasts. According to FashionNetwork.com, the store will remain open until February 2023.

The new store, located at number 58 on Avenue Montaigne, will be positioned between luxury brands Gucci and Jil Sander. Spanning two floors, it will showcase a curated selection of high-end pieces for both men and women, including accessories, ready-to-wear clothing, footwear, handbags, and jewelry from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 ‘Le Papier’ collection.

This strategic move follows a year and a half of experimenting with various direct sales concepts. In the past, Jacquemus has tested an automatic pop-up shop resembling a vending machine, which was open for a limited period. Additionally, the brand collaborated with Selfridges in London, opening both an automatic pop-up and a temporary sensory experience space within the retailer.

By venturing into Avenue Montaigne, Jacquemus is signaling its ambition to reach new heights. This store could potentially serve as a trial run for a future flagship store or, at the very least, solidify the brand’s plan to establish a permanent presence in the fashion capital of the world.
