Fossil Group’s Digital Transformation with Holly Briedis as Chief Digital Officer

Fossil Group, a Texas-based accessories company, is undergoing a significant digital transformation with the appointment of Holly Briedis as the Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer. In this new role, Briedis will lead Fossil’s digital initiatives as the company strives to become a digital-first retailer. She will also join Fossil’s executive leadership team, providing support to brands such as Fossil, Relic, Skagen, and Zodiac, as well as managing licenses for renowned designer labels including Diesel, DKNY, and Emporio Armani.

Holly Briedis brings with her more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing and retail. Prior to joining Fossil, she served as a partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led the omnichannel and customer experience practice for retail in North America. In this position, she advised global consumer companies on strategies to drive profitable growth. Additionally, Briedis has served as an investor and adviser at Abundant Venture Partners and held the position of head of sales and business development at Mercer, an asset management company.

With her expertise in customer-centered transformations in e-commerce and omnichannel, as well as digital marketing, loyalty, and CRM, Briedis is equipped to lead Fossil’s digital transformation. She holds degrees from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Michigan.

Aside from her professional achievements, Briedis is passionate about educational equity. For the past six years, she has been serving on the board of directors at KIPP Miami and KIPP Texas Public Schools. Additionally, she was a founding member of LaunchU, a Chicago-based educational non-profit organization.

Kosta Kartsotis, Chairman and CEO of Fossil Group, expressed confidence in Briedis’ ability to drive the company’s digital-first approach. He highlighted the increasing digital footprint of consumers and the importance of embracing this evolution for continued growth. With Briedis’ leadership and expertise, Fossil Group aims to establish itself as a pioneer in the digital retail landscape.

While Fossil has faced challenges in sales and experienced a net loss in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reporting $1.6 billion in annual net sales and a net loss of $96.1 million, the company remains optimistic about its future prospects under Briedis’ guidance. With her help, Fossil Group aims to navigate the ever-changing retail landscape and solidify its position as a digital-first retailer.
