FN Platform to Make a Return to Las Vegas with Enhanced Program

FN Platform, well-known for its innovative footwear trade show, is gearing up to make a return to Las Vegas in February with an enhanced program tailored to meet the evolving needs of buyers and retailers within the industry.

One of the major updates for the upcoming trade show is the shift of FN Platform from the South Hall to the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This relocation will bring the footwear event in close proximity to WWD’s women’s ready-to-wear and accessories show, WWDMagic, facilitating seamless navigation for buyers between the two shows. Meanwhile, the South Hall will be transformed into a hub primarily for manufacturing and sourcing vendors.

Organized by UBM Fashion, owned by Informa, both FN Platform and WWD trade shows are undergoing a rejuvenated focus on enhancing retail relations. The trade show is gearing up to offer brand-retailer “matchmaking opportunities,” spearheaded by David Jassem, the founder of David’s Shoes. The aim is to introduce a fresh set of eyes to the showcased products, with a specific emphasis on independent boutiques. To assist retailers in navigating the show efficiently, FN Platform will roll out a new digital app along with educational resources.

Adding to the retail-focused approach, FN Platform will also introduce new design elements and décor at its February show, paving the way for a futuristic aesthetic at its August event. These changes align with the recent announcement by Informa’s parent company regarding a $15 million investment over the next few years to expand its fashion portfolio.

The February trade show will be sectioned into six distinct areas, catering to a wide array of footwear categories. Among these sections are Black Diamond for luxury women’s footwear, Cosmo for women’s fashion footwear, and Camp for women’s and men’s casual lifestyle and advanced contemporary footwear. The event will kick off with the WIFI Impact Awards ceremony and an opening night cocktail party, providing attendees with ample networking opportunities.

Set to take place from February 5 through 7, the forthcoming FN Platform trade show vows to bring a fresh perspective and an innovative approach to the footwear world. With its revamped program and strategic changes, the event is poised to establish itself as the benchmark for trade shows in the industry.
