Flannels Launches Technologically Advanced Flagship Store in Sheffield

Flannels, which is part of Frasers Group, has recently launched a new flagship store in Sheffield. The store covers an impressive 55,000 square feet and offers a wide range of products, including ready-to-wear clothing for both men and women, accessories, children’s clothing, activewear, and beauty products. This new store is being hailed as the most technologically advanced in the North of England and features unique services such as the world’s first Beauty Changing Rooms.

The opening of this flagship store represents a significant investment by Frasers Group, with a budget of over £10 million, making it the largest luxury retail investment in Sheffield to date. It is seen as a crucial moment for the company, as it marks their commitment to the city through a 15-year lease agreement. In addition to the Sheffield store, Frasers Group has plans to open ten more flagship stores in the next decade, including locations in Leicester and Liverpool.

The Liverpool store, which will cover a vast 120,000 square feet, will be the city’s first large-scale luxury shopping destination. It will boast an extensive beauty section, a rooftop restaurant, and a dedicated floor for leisurewear, activewear, and high-performance sportswear. The highlight of the Liverpool store will be its groundbreaking fitness studio.

Frasers Group is dedicated to providing outstanding experiences to customers throughout the UK, deviating from the traditional London-centric strategy followed by other department stores. The introduction of the beauty category in the Flannels stores highlights the company’s commitment to this area and their ambition to offer top-notch experiences nationwide.

The new beauty concept, known as Flannels Beauty, revolutionizes how consumers engage with beauty by featuring multiple brands, varied price points, and an eclectic mix of heritage, challenger, exclusive, and pharmacy brands. The store proudly showcases world-first cosmetic features, including interactive Beauty Changing Rooms and a Flannels Beauty Bar that offers the latest trends, products, and exclusive beauty collaborations.

While fashion will remain a focal point in the new store, it aims to offer a diverse range of fashion labels, including popular brands such as Off-White, Saint Laurent, Fear of God, and Talentless. Additionally, the store will incorporate the 18 Montrose concept space, which focuses on a modern ‘hype edit’ and exclusive collaborations in the streetwear scene.

Michael Murray, Flannels’ Group Head of Elevation, is confident that the new flagship store will provide customers with a world-class experience and challenge traditional retail concepts. The store’s creative consultant, Jack Bridges, highlights the concept’s unique and flexible design, catering to the desires of next-generation shoppers who seek fluid and dynamic shopping experiences.

With a total of 50 stores across the UK, including its flagship on London’s Oxford Street, Flannels is firmly securing its position as a leading luxury retailer, bringing premium fashion and innovative beauty concepts to customers nationwide.
