Ferragamo Celebrates Fall 2023 Campaign with Immersive Event

Ferragamo recently held a captivating event in New York City to celebrate its Fall 2023 campaign and unveil its latest accessories collections. Despite the absence of creative director Maximilian Davis, his artistic vision remained prevalent throughout the event, leaving attendees in awe.

The event took place at the trendy venue Lavan located in Chelsea and offered guests an interactive and immersive experience. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s Florentine heritage, Davis incorporated the renowned Uffizi Gallery from Florence into the campaign. He ingeniously utilized Renaissance-era artworks as backdrops, seamlessly integrating models adorned in Ferragamo attire and accessories.

Inside the event, the artworks were transformed into magnificent tapestries that gracefully hung from the ceiling. Each tapestry showcased a distinct accessory, including an array of bags, shoes, watches, and Ferragamo’s inaugural eyewear collection designed by Davis. Attendees were invited to try on these exquisite pieces, encouraging them to fully immerse themselves in Ferragamo’s new campaign. Notably, this campaign features the brand’s updated logo, skillfully designed by Peter Saville in 2022, renowned for his iconic work on Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasures” album cover.

Additionally, eyewear partner Marchon played a significant role in the event, allowing guests the opportunity to try on the newly launched eyewear collection. Renowned figures such as playwright and actor Jeremy O’Harris, model Reign Judge, and actress Lily Chee enthusiastically participated in trying on these frames while capturing memorable photos in front of a tapestry exclusively curated for this category.

Thomas Burkhardt, the president of Marchon, commended Davis’ creative vision for Ferragamo, stating that the brand has embarked on a fresh dimension that presents classic style through a modern lens. He specifically highlighted the Fall/Winter 2023 eyewear collection as a testament to this direction, featuring bold yet wearable frames that elegantly incorporate the new Ferragamo logo and the iconic Gancini detail.

At the event at Lavan, attendees were treated to an all-encompassing experience thanks to a surround screen room, which allowed brands to digitally showcase their campaigns. Davis’ ad campaign, showcasing masterpieces by renowned Italian painters from the 15th and 16th centuries, was beautifully brought to life in collaboration with the contemporary creative community. Guests reveled in the lively atmosphere, enjoying the music curated by DJ Amrit Tietz while socializing and immersing themselves in the multi-sensory extravaganza.

Overall, the Ferragamo Fall 2023 campaign and accessories collections distinctly showcased the brand’s dedication to seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. Davis’ creative direction and artistic incorporation of historical masterpieces as backdrops provided a one-of-a-kind and visually captivating element to the event. With its updated logo and innovative designs, Ferragamo continues to mesmerize the fashion world with its ability to evolve while staying true to its legacy of luxury and style.
