Fenwick Reopens Luxury Department Stores After COVID-19 Closure

After a 12-week closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fenwick, a renowned luxury department store group, is getting ready to welcome back customers by reopening all nine of its stores on Monday. Among these stores is the iconic Bond Street flagship store in London, where Fenwick is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of both customers and staff.

In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, only the ground floor of the Bond Street store will be open to the public, with a selected range of products from other floors available for browsing. For those interested in exploring the fashion floors, assisted shopping options will be available upon request to manage the flow of shoppers in the store.

Fenwick’s CEO, John Edgar, has expressed that safety is of utmost importance as they prepare to reopen their stores. By implementing spacious layouts, offering a diverse range of brands, and strictly following safety guidelines, Fenwick aims to provide a secure and pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

In addition to limiting the number of customers inside the store, Fenwick has introduced various safety measures such as steaming returned items, quarantining all products for 72 hours, and closing fitting rooms. Upon arrival, customers will be welcomed by hosts who will explain the new operating procedures and guidelines.

With restaurants, cafes, and beauty services remaining closed in accordance with government advice, Fenwick has designated specific entrances as either entry or exit points to manage customer flow effectively. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Fenwick is dedicated to reopening its stores on June 15th and is eager to welcome visitors back while ensuring a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
