Fenwick, the well-known family-owned department store group in the UK, is making strides to empower its employees by providing them with valuable data in their day-to-day roles. In partnership with Qlik, their long-time collaborator, Fenwick is taking a significant step forward in enhancing its analytics capabilities through the implementation of the Qlik Cloud platform. This move is expected to revolutionize the way Fenwick’s business teams operate by granting them access to real-time data and analytics.

The Qlik Cloud platform offers users not only the ability to access data reports but also to create and share their own reports within the community. Some team members have already reported saving an impressive 2-3 hours per day on reporting tasks by utilizing the Qlik Cloud platform.

One notable feature of this deployment is the warehouse dashboard app, which proves to be incredibly useful for Fenwick employees. With this application, they can dive into the extensive amount of stock data generated on a daily basis, spanning 500,000 rows of data. This enables them to easily identify specific shelves or products in the warehouse and handle exceptions more efficiently.

Michael Laverick, Data Manager at Fenwick, highlights the positive impact of this technology on the customer experience. He emphasizes that the reliable data provided by Qlik empowers them to enhance their customers’ experience by making informed choices about stocking the shelves with the most suitable products.

Although Fenwick has been slower in adopting technology compared to other department store peers, they have recently increased their investments in technology.
