Fendi Partners with Thélios

Fendi, the renowned luxury fashion house owned by LVMH, has recently forged an exclusive partnership with eyewear specialist Thélios. This collaboration encompasses the entire process of designing, developing, manufacturing, and distributing Fendi’s eyewear range. The primary objective of this partnership is to enhance the appeal of Fendi Eyewear and position it as a leading brand within the luxury eyewear segment.

The initial outcome of the collaboration is the AW21 collection, consisting of sunglasses and optical frames, which is scheduled to launch later this month. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase these exquisite products through Fendi’s website, physical stores, and Thélios’s selective distribution network.

Serge Brunschwig, the CEO of Fendi, commends Thélios for their unwavering commitment to Italian craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation, perfectly aligning with Fendi’s core values. He confidently believes that this partnership will open up a successful new chapter in Fendi’s extensive history in the eyewear industry.

The eyewear licensing market has been witnessing significant activity lately. Notably, Marcolin, a key player in the sector, recently concluded its licensing agreement with Diesel. Safilo, another major eyewear company, secured a five-year deal with DSquared2 in May. This year, Marcolin also obtained the license for Max Mara, while in March, Vivienne Westwood partnered with Mondottica International for the design, production, and distribution of its eyewear collections. Luxottica, yet another prominent eyewear brand, renewed its partnership with Coach just last month. Moreover, emerging fashion brands like Palm Angels and The Kooples have also ventured into the eyewear market for the first time.

The growing interest in eyewear licenses underscores the significant opportunities and growth potential within the luxury eyewear segment. As consumers increasingly appreciate stylish and high-quality eyewear, fashion houses are eager to establish themselves as key players in this domain. Collaborative efforts such as the one between Fendi and Thélios ensure that brands can leverage their respective strengths and expertise to create captivating eyewear collections that cater to the evolving tastes of consumers.

All in all, Fendi’s partnership with Thélios is an exciting development in the luxury eyewear market. As Fendi continues its expansion in this sector, it will undoubtedly captivate fashion enthusiasts with its distinctive and sophisticated range of eyewear offerings.
