Fendi Embraces ’70s Retro Futurism with a Photochromic Twist
In a bold move that merges past and future, Fendi takes on the trend of ’70s retro futurism with a modern twist. The fall/winter 2020 menswear show in Milan was a spectacle of high-fashion innovation, showcasing Fendi’s love for cutting-edge designs infused with a touch of nostalgia.
The highlight of the show was Fendi’s collaboration with Japanese designer Kunihiko Morinaga, the creative mind behind Anrealage. Morinaga introduced four striking photochromic silhouettes that stole the spotlight. As models strutted down the all-white runway, UV lights cast a magical glow, transforming the colors of the outfits to reveal intricate white tiger quilting and eye-catching yellow and white diamond patterns.

The night before the show, Fendi hosted a glamorous cocktail dance party at their flagship store in Via Montenapoleone. The event, which celebrated the co-ed spring/summer 2020 collection Solar Dream, brought together a star-studded guest list of celebrities, artists, and fashion influencers.
