Fendi Announces Capsule Collection with Net-A-Porter

Following a successful collaboration with Fila during Milan Fashion Week, Fendi has now announced a new capsule collection in partnership with online retailer Net-A-Porter. The collection, named FFFendi Reloaded, will highlight the brand’s iconic double FF symbol that is associated with “Fun Fur”. Karl Lagerfeld, who became Creative Director in 1965, designed the intertwined letters, and they have since become synonymous with the Italian fashion house.

Taking inspiration from the Logomania trend of the 80s and 90s, the Fendi Reloaded collection will offer a range of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories featuring the famous monogrammed jacquard pattern. The collection will be available for purchase from April 13 on net-a-porter.com, before being released in stores and on Fendi’s website in May. The color options for the collection include black/white and black/tobacco combinations.

Fendi and Net-A-Porter have previously collaborated on an exclusive collection in 2015, which was inspired by actress Silvana Mangano. Net-A-Porter, along with its men’s counterpart Mr Porter, is renowned for collaborating with luxury fashion houses. Balenciaga, Chloé, Ganni, Jacquemus, Dolce & Gabbana, and Armani are among the prestigious brands that have partnered with the online retailer.

This new collection, Fendi Reloaded, is expected to attract fans of the revival trend as well as Millennials. The brand has been actively targeting Millennials through its “F is For… Fendi!” concept, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary. This project includes events and digital initiatives aimed at young fashion and lifestyle enthusiasts. To mark this milestone, Fendi has invited a team of street artists to create an exclusive artwork on the rooftop of its headquarters in Rome. The artwork, titled “The Ring of The Future,” showcases the word “Future” in six languages within a giant circle, which is virtually animated by Fendi’s signature Monsters emojis.
