Felix Capital Raises $600 Million in Funding Round

Felix Capital, a UK-based venture capital firm, has raised $600 million in its latest funding round, doubling its total capital to $1.2 billion. Founded in 2015, the firm has focused on making strategic investments in the digital industry, with notable investments in companies like Farfetch, Deliveroo, Frichti, and Dott.

According to Frederic Court, the founder and managing partner of Felix Capital, the firm was established with the belief that the rapid transformation of consumer behavior presented a significant opportunity that required specific focus. Over the years, they have built a portfolio that aligns with this strategy by supporting emerging and culturally relevant consumer brands, as well as the enabling technologies that support them. Court expressed pride in the growing community of founders who have trusted them.

The newly raised funds will be utilized to support approximately 20 to 25 companies over the next two years, with a focus on early-stage investments in Europe and selectively in North America.

In addition to the funding raise, Felix Capital has added two new experienced investors, Maria Auersperg de Lera and Sophie Luck, to lead the business in Spain. They have also appointed three advisors: Maria Raga, CEO of Depop; Musa Tariq, a marketing expert with experience at Apple, Nike, Ford, and Airbnb; and Branko Milutinović, the founder and CEO of Nordeus, a gaming company.

Felix Capital has made significant investments in the fashion industry, including Violette_FR, a makeup and cosmetics firm founded by Parisian Violette Serrat, Anine Bing, Farfetch, Mejuri, Highsnobiety, and Business of Fashion. They have also invested in various other sectors, financing a total of 50 companies. Some notable investments include Goop, the wellness company founded by Gwyneth Paltrow, Peloton, the indoor bicycle company, and Perfect Stay, a vacation booking platform. Recently, Felix Capital participated in funding rounds for French technology companies Ledger, Mirakl, and Sorare. In Spain, they have already invested in TravelPerk, a travel management company.

With the infusion of new funds and the addition of experienced investors and advisors, Felix Capital is well-positioned to continue its successful track record of investing in promising digital ventures and supporting the growth of innovative companies in Europe and beyond.
